Kamil has been continously sick for 1,5 year and must therfore stay at home. He was born healthy and stayed in such a condition untill he was 2. When he fell ill for the first time, the doctors diagnosed a bronchitis and prescribed an antibiotic despite benign symptoms. Since that time, Kamil has been on antibiotics 5 times more. Every tim he goes out, he starts to cough and doctors diagnose bronchitis as well as presribe antibiotics. Kamil stoped eating regularily, has become dejected and looks off-colour.
Sandra – alergy, asthma, pneumonia
Sandra is 12 and has already consumed many antibiotics due to frequent infections of the upper respiratory tracts. Sandra was diagnosed with alergies. The girl has been cured with inhaled medicines for years. Several times a year, she falls ill with respiratory infections which are usually treated by antibiotics.
Ania – bronchial asthma
Ania I. For 5 years she has been suffering from fits of dyspnoea which are accompanied by dry, tiring laryngial cough and swishing breath. She was treated by doctors of a local internal ward. At first, she was diagnosed for bronchial asthma. The treatement involved inhaled steroid and betaminetics, in times of aggraved symptoms. Usually, once or twice a year, in periods of intense respiratory tract infections (spring, autumn) Ania was hospitalised due to increased dyspnonea. She was then treated with intravenous steroids and airways dilating medicines.
Maciej-reoccuring infections of respiratory tracts
Maciej I. 3 is an allergical boy. As a first and currently the only child of his parents, he is best provided with possible treatment means. He is living with his parents in a fancy, villa district of Warsaw. Maciej's parents have an extraordinarily abundant insurance package which allows to call a doctor at any time of a day and night. For the first months of life, Maciej has been suffering from allergies. He often falls ill with infections.
Igor – ear inflammation
Igor is 7 years old and attends a primary school for those having particular talents. He is a helathy boy. Near the end of the past year after a typical airways infection, Igor developed an inflammation of middle ear. The treating doctor instructed local and oral antibiotics. Once, the 10-days therapy ended, the symptoms of ear inflammation did not abate.
In last past days of February and the beginning of March, we can clearly observate a change of disease character among Polish people. Infections of digestive tracts have been replaced by viral infections with general symptoms, including: high temperature resisting anti-fever medicines, risk of side effect in form of pneumonia.
